Class A park for my class A

September 2019.....very nice park.....quiet and well maintained! One of the best we have utilized for our travels in a 42 foot American Eagle! Would certainly stay her every time we might be in the area! Stayed two weeks!

City Close but Country Quiet

City Close but Country Quiet is straight from the website for this park and it's a very appropriate description. This is an excellent, quiet county park with plenty of nearby hiking and playgrounds, yet it's close enough to enjoy all that the big city offers including only one mile to the zoo. Full hookups, paved roads, level gravel RV sites, and a very affordable nightly rate. Most of the sites are very spacious, there is some shade, grassy areas abound and they are very well maintained. Every site has a fire ring and picnic table. Just about all of the sites are back in sites, only a handful of pull-thru sites are available and most of them are located right adjacent to the park road; not the ideal location.

No cable television is offered, but the satellite antenna works well at most any site. All major networks available with the over-the-air antenna. The wifi service is spotty, most likely because the park is so full and it's being heavily used by the overnight guests.

This campground is very popular so you need to make your reservations well in advance. We stayed here late summer (the park was completely full) and would stay here again.

Nice, clean and simple

I would have rated this higher but we were told one thing when we checked in, then an employee came and told us we couldn't have the tent on the RV lot we were on. Just make sure to clarify beforehand what you can put on the lots. Other than the hassle of having to repack the tent and relocate to a new lot, it had clean bathrooms and facilities. The lots were spacious and private.

Beautiful with lots of trails

Level, traveled sites, pristine bathhouses and lots of bike and hiking trails are the strengths of this park. The sites are a little igniter than I like to pull my fifth wheel into. It is hard to get reservations during the summer, though, so obviously folks like the place!

Nice park

Though you won't find a lot of amenities and social gatherings, you will find a nice, clean park with a great staff.
