A nice place, but...
We normally do not stop at KOA but the choices in the immediate area here are few. It's a nice park and everything you'd expect from KOA but isn't worth the price charged. There are also some maintenance issues that have been noted on other review sites and I'll mention them here because they are not listed in any previous comments.
We stayed 2 nights in Row 'A'; there are known electrical issues that have been published about these sites. Specifically my pedestal had a reverse polarity situation according to the EMS system; in order to gain power from the pedestal I could not use the EMS and just had to plug straight into the pedestal. I mentioned this to the office staff and they were already aware of it, as a previous RVer earlier this week on the exact same RV site had already mentioned it to them. But they had ignored that warning and chose to be lazy about the repairs needed. The park is also in need of numerous loads of gravel. When there is rain it floods pretty easily in this section of the park; water flows down the hill to this lower section of the park. Everything that you have outside will become muddy and coated in dirt. This didn't happen all over the RV Park but it was pretty bad on my site and is an easily correctable situation. I expect more from KOA, especially given the high nightly rates charged.
If I stayed in this area again I'd likely check into other options more thoroughly. I would only stay here again if absolutely necessary but not in Row 'A' as I did on this visit. It's another reason to avoid KOA if you just want a basic no-frills park, with hookups, and a few basic amenities, and a much more affordable nightly rate. Most of us aren't interested in the swimming pools, bounce houses, fresh cookies after dinner, etc that drives up the cost at KOA. The daily cost below reflects a KOA Value Card discounted rate for 30 amp full-hookup service.
Very satisfied KOA camper
The campsites were clean. The personnel at the front office were very helpful in every way. The campground was ideally located for our purposes.
C the US
Beautiful well maintained grounds with nice amenities. Large. Easy late night check- in. Only an overnight stay for us. Would stay again . Easy access from highway.
Small Sites
The camp ground os like any other KOA you are packed in like sardines and over charged in my opinion. Why I have to pay extra for my 14 year old daughter to sleep in my own trailer is beyond me. The good thong about the park is that the staff is very friendly and the park is well maintained. It's not a bad place for the weekend warrior wanting to go to Six Flags since it is clOse by. Next we come to the area we will try another campground.
