Great park

A bit distant from things but a great value for a great full hookup park

Clean, Safe, and Convenient

Very convenient to all that the St Louis metro area has to offer, with excellent access off the 370 highway, as well as I-70 but not close enough to hear the noise. Level sites with some paved but mostly gravel sites with good spacing between, many sites have a terrific view of the adjacent lake. The sites are plenty long so RV's of any size/type as well as your tow/toad vehicle will fit. All sites are full-hookup and easy to access. All have a concrete patio with a picnic table and fire ring. The park is patrolled by park rangers daily and we saw them several times making a loop of the RV park and adjoining property.

There is no shade here so it can be quite hot at times; satellite reception is excellent at all sites. There is no cable television service offered but all of the major networks are available with your over-the-air antenna. The park has wifi but it is not strong along the perimeter sites.

There is an excellent 4.5 miles paved trail around the lake, it's great for an early morning walk or bicycle ride. There are other parks nearby and closer to the city, but they do tend to be noisier, more crowded, and more expensive. This park is only 5 years old, in excellent condition, and serves as a terrific base to explore the local area. We stayed here 3 nights in a travel trailer and would visit again.
