Traveler Tips

Okatoma Creek (or river) is an attraction for this area. More than one business uses Okatoma in its name. Our business is an rv park with pool, fishing lakes, as well as 5 acres on the creek separate from the resort. We do not offer canoeing or allow any boats in our lakes. A reviewer has posted to our site in error and spoke about a family canoe trip.

Very nice

We found the office people to be help and knowledgeable. We called when we were 40+ miles away. They directed us to there camp ground with out any hiccups. We will put them on our must stop list and we plan to stay long than one night. Enjoyed it that much.

Relaxing And Off The Beaten Path

This park is a little off the beaten path, the roads in/out are narrow and a bit challenging for a large rig. The park itself has gravel roads that are generally easy to navigate except one turn at the end of the pond is a little tight. They are currently renovating the park and the pool was not up and running during our stay. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The campsites are grass and some are more level than others with picnic tables and fire pits. The pond is pretty with a lot of ducks and wildlife. We did see a snake in the pond so I would watch children and pets closely. We camped here as a over nighter and found it very relaxing.

Family-oriented campground.

We held a family (30+) people camping/canoe trip over Labor Day. Very nice camping experience. Most responsive and accommodating staff ever. The facility is really focused on their canoe trips. Sites are not shaded, but are good size. The cabin across the street from the main campground, but is huge and was perfect for a family reunion.
