Fun friendly camping
While there was no pool the grounds where nice. Mostly long term residents at location. Several nearby amenities to the facility and the office staff very friendly and helpful. Toilets and shower facilities very clean and comfortable.
Had excellent cell service at location on both Verizon and att. Lots of shopping and restaurants in area to choose from. Camp site is also pet friendly. Would stay again.
Welcoming!
We attend and participate every year at the local dog show. We always stay at Southaven RV Park. They are so accommodating to our needs. The park is so well maintained, great restrooms. A lot or our fellow dog show people stay here also which is pleasant. Airport is near, but not an issue whatsoever.
Location is close to everything without feeling stuck in the city. We will always return when attending the shows!
Hospitality & Fun
We stayed at Southaven RV Park for five days. It's located just off I-55 and just down the road from everything. Rates are good. Parks size is nice, well groomed even though its winter. Pet friendly dog lovers, a big plus. The restrooms spacious and clean. We even caught up on our laundry in the coin op laundry room. The staff is great! Helped us with our dozens of questions. Very knowledgeable about the city, dining and attractions, even lining up a cab service for us to go downtown. We travel to Memphis often for events through out the year and will gladly be returning. Well worth the visit.
Home Away from Home
Campground is very well kept and maintained. I needed an extended stay site, due to the fact I live in Texas, but work in Memphis, TN. Price is very reasonable. Air traffic does not bother me once you get used to it. Very convent off and on the interstate. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Laundry is very clean. Sites are a little close, but everyone is very considerate of not making loud noise. Price is reasonable for monthly stay.
Jet noise
This is a decent little RV park and very convenient to the interstate and other nearby amenities. Really good cable tv lineup (60 channels), excellent wireless internet also. However the jet noise from the airport at 4:00 am cannot be under-stated; it's just one after another of the FedEx jets taking off and lasted about 2 hours the night we spent there. If you have any difficulty sleeping with road noise or in this case jet noise my suggestion is to stay somewhere else; it cost me more than one hour of sleep that night we spent there. I would not stay here again, but only because of the excessive noise of the jets taking off right over my travel trailer.
Quick stop
Ok for a quick stop for the night. Less than a mile east of I-55.
However, it is right under the flight path for the Memphis airport, so you have fedex jets taking off constantly right over you.
When looking for this place, go slow on stateline road. It is hidden behind the Firestone tire shop.
