Disappointed
We thought this would be the best, since it is the first KOA. They forgot about the reason for camping, rest & relaxation.
Customer service is non existent here, got here 15 min before 1 pm. Told to ?go drive around? & come back at 1pm or pay $25.00 to check in early. We paid it, have never been to MT before, don?t know our way around Billings, we were tired & it seems unfriendly, though so many reviews say how friendly this camp is. No cart to take us to site, we found ours, but many others just driving around looking for site numbers. They must know some campers are new to this today, post pandemic. Very high price for ?Patio? site, with grill in middle of patio ( in concrete), many staff cutting trees & mowing around all campers, very dangerous, had to shield eyes from weed eater. Guess they have too much income to worry about liability to guests or their camper. We have stayed at many KOAs, we are KOA members but this was not a good experience. Hookups & WiFi good, cable ok but sites are close.
Loved This KOA!
Such a nice clean place, from the brand new tiled showers, picnic tables, fire pits, mini golf, etc. Lots of new upgrades. Good-sized roomy pull through site for our 26' rv & toad. Hook ups were conveniently accessible and easily adaptable. We just stayed for one night and didn't want to unhook the toad. Only one complaint- the mini golf cost $5 per person. We came off season so the pool & hot tub were not open yet; therefore, we should have been able to golf without paying the fee. Only four channels on the cable tv, but the list in the KOA brochure was more extensive at 51 channels. Wifi was working better in some areas than others & my husband had to go into the camp store to be closer to the connection. Lots of lush green grass in between the sites that kept our rig extra clean. No mud in this campground! I would definitely recommend this campground.
First KOA
The first KOA park in the world....Very nice staff, clean park, lots of shaded lots and on the river. This park is right off the highway and easy to get to. Pull thru lots are wide with pads. There are extra nice spaces near the office but I don't think it's worth the extra $$. This is a very nice park and you can tell they are very proud that it's the first KOA in the world.
