Apgar CG

Location - Apgar, Montana

This campground is located in Glacier National Park. Campground is forested with conifers. Most sites are shaded. All are in walking distance of Lake McDonald, and the village of Apgar. There is a dump site, and fresh water fill at this site. There are water faucets scattered throughout the campground,as well as flush toilets wih running water in each loop of the campground. There are no showers, but a short drive will bring you to West Glacier which has,in season, pay showers, a laundry, gift shops, grocery, restaurants, hotels, gas station and Post Office. An Amtrak passenger station is also located here, however this is a flag stop - Amtrak must be notified of any passenger wanting to board or depart the train in advance. The village of Apgar also has gift shops, a hotel, restaurant, grocery store in season, as well as the Park visitor center. Beautiful site. Swimming and boating are allowed in the Lake.
