One pleasant place to camp
Just delightful campground provided you like to dry camp. It has clean pit toilets, no sinks, no showers, no electricity and NO dump station. BUT it is on the lake, has a boat ramp and you can make a campfire in your fire ring. Generators run on and off from 7AM to 10 PM so be prepared for the resulting noise (not too bad because the spaces are not overly close together). Potable water for about every 8 or 10 sites. Nice roped off swim/beach area. Separate tent only area which is nice. All sites first come first serve. Best day to come is Sunday morning to get a space facing the lake so you can watch the boaters. Cool at night even in early August. Also has a very nice designated fish cleaning facility (you'll get in trouble if you don't use it). Paved roads and gravel sites angled for easy back in. Mostly level but some will require a few blocks.
Half price for Seniors with Federal Sr. Card since it is BLM. Also, there are "overflow" spaces farther down the road (gravel), back at the bridge and across the river by the dam (gravel road).
NOTE: the main road to and past the campground will be under construction starting Spring of 2016!
