Needs ANOTHER new manager

Not much better since the last review was written! Junky. In need of landscape and decking! Frequent water and power issues. Need to remove Resort from the title!! Basic campground filled with rednecks!

Needs Updating.

Just returned from a weekend at Green Mountain. At first glance when entering at the office, it seems pretty nice...and driving up to find a spot to camp was in the beginning fine. But the further up you get into the park the more permanent sites you find that are not maintained. A few are nicely landscaped but most are cluttered with junk.
The landscaping at the sites is not. Being on the mountain I am sure creates a problem with washing out the land, however, this could be fixed with some landscaping and tractor work.
The decks are in need of serious work. They are old and an accident waiting to happen. Picnic tables at the sites we were on were broken and could easily be fixed with some bolts. Rails on the deck were loose and dangerous to lean on.
The pools were however well maintained and clean. They could use more lounge chairs at the adult pool.
Picnic tables along the pond and at the general store were also in bad condition. Some seats were completely gone or broken in half.
The general store...(I use the term loosely)...needs cleaning out and restocked with more variety of things campers may need. Mostly junky and old.
The people working there were nice and where helpful when needed.
If they are going to allow permenant residents then they should block off a section for vacationers and require the permenant residents to keep up there sites better. There were not alot of people out and about at this campground like we have seen at others. Probably due to the fact that it is on a mountain and hard to walk. They do have golf carts for $45 a day. Thats is recomended.
