Terrible WiFi

This is an average quality RV park with fairly clean restrooms and showers. It really shows it's age in the office and grounds but was quiet and had a lot of shade. The problem was the wifi - never could connect. The manager just shrugged and said that they had been having problems "lately". Of course, the secure wifi the office uses had all bars.

Oh, we also struggled with TV hookup - they forgot to give us the required comcast cable box!

Wifi needs work but great park!

We had to move into a motorhome on a permanent basis and we needed a place to call home for several months while we fixed things so we could travel. The staff are very friendly, albeit one is a little "weird". Perfectly harmless though. The shade and trees are wonderful. My dog is huge, a Golden Retriever, and it's so quiet here she loves it. We take her to the dog area twice a day and she has a blast running free, rolling in the grass/clover. They even have the tools for you to pick up after your dog making it even easier. They are quick to respond to any problem. The pool went out a few days but it's not because the manager isn't trying. Filter problems and etc but all fixed and a blast to play in. Especially where it has been so hot.

They do a dinner every Saturday night for $6-8 a plate open to anyone in the Rv park. We have only eaten there once so far but the food was wonderful! Sunday mornings are donuts and there is 24/7 coffee free in the office :). The laundry is extremely reasonably priced. $1.75 for a washer and $.25 per half hour and the dryers are super super hot.

The bathrooms are exquisite and well cared for. Showers are great and always working. We are here on a long term basis and there are no issues with loud neighbors. The park has a quiet time deadline at 10pm and there hasn't ever been issues that we know of.

My only complaint is the wifi. We don't have a wifi booster yet like most people in the park though so I'm not sure if that helps. It also seems to be inaccessible from 930pm to about 9am. They say they don't turn anything off or change settings so I don't know what happens to it.

I have a husband and two small kids, ages 5 and 7 and they are happy here too. They have things to do, places to play and the rv lots are quite roomy for play just outside the MH.

Beware.

I was told the Wi-Fi would be fixed, it was not. The Wi-Fi went out on a regular basis and now they tell you that you can go to the laundry room to access the internet. One chair available among the washer and dryers. Another new manager makes number 5 in last year, this one is a convicted felon and very rude. Staff went on a drinking binge one week-day with everyone getting drunk. Not people I would want to have my credit card information. While I was there the water was cut off by the city off for non-payment. Lots of dead trees on the property that could fall on units at any time. Dog Park had a hole in the fence that I had to block off to keep my dogs in. The so called working oil well has been ordered to be capped by the state due to environmental concerns. The store does not have ice as advertised and they have not been able to sell propane for over a year. Forget the tepees for the kids; it’s not there and where they planned to put is backs up to the main road and a trailer park. Plus-bathrooms are clean and park generally quite. Owner ‘s big concern is getting full time residents in his mobile homes and personal rv’s on the sight, including buying another rv while I was there instead of fixing other issues.

Desert Rose Resort is anything BUT...

One of the dirtiest, ill-equipped rv parks around. Mgr refused to open pool at 7:00 pm even though sign said it was open 9-9, claiming "You can't always believe what you read." Then, when I knocked on his door, he refused to answer. The place is rife with hillbilly's and trailer trash. Had we known this when we made reservations we'd have not made them at THIS dump. Advice....STAY AWAY!!!! Camp on the river, in the desert, but not at the Desert Rose "Resort". What a joke!!!
