Arrowhead
Nothing fancy but we were just looking for a place to park, have dinner and sleep. Staff was friendly and efficient. Price was a bargain.
Good Park with Good People
Stayed here one night. The concrete pads are rarely found in this part of the country and provide a level site. The hookups are convenient with city water. While the town is small, had a good meal at the Annex and found all of the people I encountered very friendly including the owner who is more than willing to assist you.
Great Little Park - By Accident
On my way to Las Cruces, I was just too tired...and the wife was complaining 'just stop...boondock if you have to, I'm tired', so I told her we'd stop at the next park we came across. That turned out to be Arrowhead RV Park.
Off the road just enough to be quiet, but without having to make 50-turns to get into it, it is ideal for weary travelers. The pads are nice, leveled concrete. The sites are full hook-up, with wi-fi...sorry, no cable. The older lady working the desk was very nice and informative about the area...sadly, she said that in her older age and needing to care for a family member, that she had just closed a sale on the RV Park to new owners...so not sure where rates or condition will go to in the future.
I can say that it was a real nice stop with good vistas and quiet evening. She even told us that her normal monthly rates for extended stays were only $135 Plus electric...though there isn't a lot else in the area that I saw...unless you were looking for a remote place outside Tucumcari to homestead at.
Would have been a definite 5-stars in my book...but no cable and it was gravel driveway...other than that, excellent!
Show your Good Sams Card at the office...call ahead for stays longer than 1-night (their park was quite full, even when we stopped).
