Traveler Reviews
Polite, but not amenity friendly
The staff was very polite. I was told our extra vehicle would be behind us, but instead they put it in overflow. Not a negative, but a head scratcher. The showers were not clean, they had low water pressure and the nozzles were not working 100%. The ?free? laundry was a joke. There are 2 (large) washers for guests from 9-5 last load at 3. With no seating inside- people left their items making a huge back up. makes you feel like a jerk when you need to do a second load, and make others wait longer. they seem cater to their ?glamper? side vs standard RVers.
Nice view, nice trees.
The park is surrounded by nice trees and has a great view. As for the grounds the park is covered in red lava rock and dusty. The sites are arranged so that there are 2 RV's per site, like A & B so your neighbor is very very close. The far end of the park is for long term campers many were very old.
Canyon Gateway RV Park is 5 STAR QUALITY ALL THE WAY!
Canyon Gateway Park is an awesome place to stay. First of all the people that work there were very friendly and accommodating to me and my family. The park location is perfect, close to the Grand Canyon railway, lots of restaurants and far enough from the highway so its quiet at night. The park is clean, the restrooms were spotless and grounds were very shaded and spacious. We had a fun vacation and We hope to stay again soon!
Thanks Canyon Gateway !!
My Experience
My family and I have been traveling over the last few years and we have been impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities and the friendliness of the staff. The place is easy to find and very well organized. We loved the views and would definitely come back when we travel through AZ. We highly recommend this for everyone!
Great place best price
Loved the place and the location......one side views of San Fransico Peaks ..other side walk to food and amenities....Nicest Staff and Barry is the Best..Will be back soon
Staff not very friendly
Nice RV Park. Staff not very friendly. There's other RV parks near by maybe their staff will be more friendly. Will let you know in 2012 when I go through Williams AZ. again...
Close to Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon and Flagstaff both pretty close. Grand Canyon Railway is in Williams if you are so inclined.
Staff - Didn't charge me extra for our kids and manager helped me get the cable set up to watch the Bears get clobbered.
Natural surroundings - A few trees and some decent views of mountains. Interstate and train are nearby but not overly loud. We paid $22 a night for three nights with Passport America. Bathrooms were warm, a little on the downslide.
Park was not crowded at all, but during summer I am thinking it will be. Still our pull-through site was plenty long. Nutin to do here in the park!
Cleanliness -slightly above average. Nice and affordable laundry facilities, smokin' wifi was very good.
With Passport America the only cheaper place to stay nearby would be the national park, with no hook-ups. Plus we didn't have to take the RV off of Interstate 40, saving some gas.
