Lots for kids
Nice park. Lots for kids. Nice staff. Bent over backwards to get my mail from post office. They do tours into NY. We were there with a group. Would go again.
Level Site
A very pricey overnight stay. We called ahead and asked if we could get satellite reception. Was told yes in some back-in sites. Not true. At least it was a level quiet site. Was
Not worth it
Promised cable tv and wi-fi and did not deliver either. Considering the price per night, I would expect better. I would avoid this place
Not exactly near NYC
It's a stretch to call this the New York City KOA since it is at least 70 miles away. But I digress.
It is a very tidy park with lots to do. Two swimming pools during the 'season'. Lots of activities, during the 'season'. BUT we asked for a level space and they put us in the overflow section, which is snug parking. We walked around the campground and found some perfectly lovely, flat sites up in the trees, where it is more like a state park with much more space and must more ambiance. It seemed like the person at the front either didn't know the park or didn't care. We had already hooked up before we went for our walk, or we would have gone back and asked for a different site. I would give it 5 stars except for this.
Nice showers; each is in an individual room.
