Cherokee KOA
Everything you need is right here. This long established group of businesses include the KOA with pull thrus and 50 amp service (full hookups), a Shell fuel station that includes a truck/Motorcoach island, the Cherokee restaurant, and the Cherokee Trading post and art center. We got some good burgers from the restaurant, and spent a long time in the trading post which is the nicest I?ve seen to date. The campground is paved roads and sites, a very small grass area between sites and a picnic table. (Did not check out the bathrooms). The people were friendly and helpful. It would be a concern to make the uphill road to leave here if there is ice or snow. Yes, I can hear the road noise, but it?s important to us to get back on the road quickly. I would come back when traveling I-40 thru Oklahoma.
