I've been camping at Waurika lake for many years cause I love they have a lot of camp spots and I love the fishing.The one reason I don't give a 5 out of 5 is because theres grills to cook on but no fire pits.When you have a group of people that want to visit in the evening next to a nice fire you cant do that.I'm going to bring my fire pit from home,it has a top and is totally safe.I don't know of any other lakes in Oklahoma that doesn't have fire pit area's..Oh and I don't like the lake patrol.Four years ago he pulled me over telling me not to move till I got my lights on and there was around 10 minutes of light left and I was heading in around 100 feet from the ramp,he was rude..
No Return Trip
Camped at Kiowa 2 campground, it was quiet, but never seen the camp host, water was extremely low and we were all bit by bull gnats so badly that we had to leave early to seek medical attention. NO FIRE RINGS..What campgrounds have no fire rings? The grounds were cleaned and manicured.. but not our idea of a great campground. We will not be returning.
