Watch Out
This place is not as it seems. There is no concern for safety and health. I was there when they sprayed pesticides. They did not bother to knock on my RV when they sprayed right next to the RV. The spray came into the RV, poisoning me and my dog. When I rushed out of there, they complained that I drove too fast. When I told them about the exposure they stated they did not believe me. Further, their public bathroom was full of mold. It smelled horrible. And likely was dangerous. In addition, loggers spray the surrounding areas. If you value your health you should not stay here. Management won't listen to any concerns you have.
What a piece of paradise
We have been RVing for several years, and have stayed in many parks all around the US , this country park is among the nicest we've been in , the rates are low , the owners and host are some of the nicest folks we have ever met and they work hard at making your stay as pleasant as possible.... The park is quiet and peaceful , clean and convenient , very well maintained and simply beautiful , the bathrooms are gorgeous as is the laundry and shower rooms , the park is mostly full but not crowded feeling , we almost hate to move on but we still have lots of country to see... We suggest if you get in this area you stop and see this one. Happy RVing....
What a Beautifull place to stay
We stumbled across this nice family owned and operated park on our way to the coast from the valley ,it is the cleanest most well kept RV park I have visited in a long long time , the folks that run it are very nice and helpful , I would recommend a stay at this park to anyone that wants a super pleasant experience in camping , there are long term folks there to that also welcomed us and made our few days nice.
Stay overnight or full-time
I was looking for a park which was at the beach or in the mountains and reasonably priced in which to put my 40' park trailer. I stumbled across Fir Ridge Campground while driving back from Newport, met the owner, saw the park, and knew immediately that this would be my new place. Many of the people here are full-timers; however this park is great whether you want to stay a week-end, a season or a year. The park is very clean, very quiet, friendly, and accommodating. There is no swimming pool, weight room, or club house; but I found at another park with those amenities that I did not use them enough to warrant giving up my love of nature and choosing a park in town. I love this location with the forest literally across the street where I walk my dogs and the sound and smell of all the Douglas firs which surround us here. There are four seasons at this elevation and I have a view of whatever the day brings, not other people's RVs. And bonus: I am just 35 minutes from the ocean!
