Great in town park!
Big trees, pleasant not noisy- grass between gravel sites. All the needed amenities Good bathrooms/showers (even heated). Full convenience store and propane. Great price for KOA and what you get. We had an electric site in a travel trailer. Great tent camp area also.
small but clean
We were hard pressed to find a campsite for the night and there are not many options in Klamath Falls. We've stayed in KOA's before....this one was clean, the staff was friendly, but the sites were close together. But all in all, we needed full hook ups and laundry and the campground met our needs. Laundry room was newer and very clean. Would definitely stay here again if we ever travel through Klamath Falls again. A bit pricey, but all KOA's are.
It's a bit cramped and not a resort type environment
Centrally located, as far as our trip is concerned. We chose to stay overnight at this location. Right off the business route 97, it's between an aqueduct and next to a set of older buildings.. Appts.?? It's a small park. The roads are gravel, the sites are not particularly level. Our friends needed to move their class A so as to be able to level their coach. The laundry is large and clean, and there is a small store on site in the office with the normal items you find in all locales. People are friendly and helpful. They do sell propane and have 2 gas pumps in the front of the store. The sites are narrow, the grass is hit and miss. (Either green or mixed with a bit brown.) The park seems quiet, except for the planes flying overhead. I think there is a base located somewhere close. There are 2 pet areas, one gravel, one grass that could use some work, and water. It has a pool, area for tents, and a combination of back-ins and pull-thrus. Overall, I'd stay here again, of I were traveling thru. It just doesn't have the the space, and ambience you like if you are on vacation. But we are just staying overnite.
Old school park
My Garmin led us to this overnite stop, note to self: Do NOT trust the Garmin to pick a spot. Park was clean, however sites are loose rock, not level, and very tight. There was a small pool, no hot tub. All in all a dated facility. We drive a 40' pusher with a full size Tahoe toad and made to one of the two 70' pull thrus without hitting anything. The park is nestled next to a very run down trailer park and several apartment buildings in an older, run down neighborhood sandwiched between the hiway and a couple of shopping centers. Not a place I felt like leaving anything unlocked (: Staff was friendly and helpful. About 30% overnighters, rest looked like long term residents.
Best in town, but that is not saying much.
Open year round, the showers are nice and warm on a chilly November. However, they are old and while they are kept cleaned, there is grunge near the edges. There is a bike path nearby to walk the dog, along a stagnant canal. If you have to stay in Klamath Falls this is the best.
This park is adequate for an overnight stop. The facilities are fine, but the sites are small and crammed together.
