Traveler Reviews
Not the greatest place to stay
Checked in and was told what spaces were available, spaces so close and tight together, it took a bit to get parked in straight. With slides out your within 3 feet of the ones next to you. A lot of 'members' are always there fishing and the sound travels. Motor boats in and out a bunch.. The fish smell was bad too. Was part of C to C system is why I stayed there.. Next time in area will look for another part
Ghetto and unkempt
The photos on the website make this place look awesome but don't be fooled! This place hasn't been taken care of like it should. All the docks and public areas are old. True, it's on the water but there's train tracks that go right thru one of the camping areas. Also, the main highway splits the park in half. The upper half is newer and has better camping spots. However, both pools are up there so if you stay below and want to swim, you can walk across the dangerous highway or drive up there with not much parking. I have two small kids and I'm not running across the highway with them. On top of that, one of the pools was closed on one of the biggest camping weekends. I can see how at one time this place was nice but the pool house and deck surrounding were falling apart. Don't camp here!
