Owner Notes

For Lakewood guest, a 38,000 square foot water park opened for 2014. The water park includes a tower of multiple slides surrounded by a 525 ft. lazy river, also a children's splash area with slides, bubbling fountains, and lots of water pouring from above. Adjacent to the children's area is Tranquility Beach with a great ocean view.

Additional Pet Information:

Handicap and law enforcement dogs, though not classified as pets must abide by ALL pet rules. Certification must be provided at check-in. Only small, non-aggressive, quiet pets are permitted. Pit Bulls, Doberman Pinschers, Rottweilers, Akitas, Chow Chows, German Shepherds and Dalmatians are not allowed in the resort. The afore mentioned pets, if brought onto Lakewood's property, must be placed in a local kennel at the pet owner's expense. Pets are not permitted to leave your campsite boundary without supervision. Pets must be on a leash no longer the 6 feet at all times. Pets that make noise or create any other nuisance must be placed in a local kennel at the pet owner's expense. Pets are prohibited from all public buildings and pool areas year 'round, and all dogs in public must be on a leash at all times. Dogs are NOT allowed on the beach between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. from May 15 through September 15. Pet owners must clean up after their pet. Please be considerate of other campers and their children that will be using your site after you and your pet check-out.

Awesome Experience

We stayed during the annual American Heart Association Charity Beach Horse Ride Nov. 6-8. When I booked my reservation I had no idea this event was happening but I'm glad we experienced this event. The park was completely booked so you have to like horses. The Lakewood staff was very organized and managed clean up very well. I was impressed with the sincere commitment to all the participants attending this special weekend. The spaces in the first two blocks closest to the beach are nice grass spaces Shady areas mid section. The amenities include Nice on site store with ice cream/ deli. Big clean laundromat with a restroom, change machines and vending. It's right next door to the store. Super convenient. Cute coffee cafe tucked in the middle of the park. Two food truck type delis with delicious coconut shrimp to hamburgers. Two pool, one indoor and outdoor. Water park was really neat for kids and adults. There are two parks on each side to Lakewood similar in size, I glad we chose here. Good Sam discount.

Christmas 2014

Stop and stayed three nights. Has everything you could want. Restaurant, grocery store, in and out door pool and to much to write about. RV sites are great but a little small.
