A good overnighter
While I wouldn’t think of this park for a longer stay, it is just fine for an overnight. There are flat, concrete pad sites with reliable utilities. We have a 45’ motorhome and tow a Jeep and we had room to spare. There is only gravel between sites and they are fairly close together, but there is a nice grassy area with tables close by. We had a bit of trouble finding someone in one of the two motels that manage this park, but when we did, he was quite helpful. We would stay again if we wanted an overnight stop in the area.
Don't waste your time
Clerk was rude and deluded re size of pullthrus; gravel down hill in main driveway washed out form rain drain; grounds need mowed; and trees trimmed. This is a tourist trap indire neglect once you see the campground
Fine for an overnighter
Murdo is a small transit town on Interstate 90 that gets mostly through-traffic and people staying a single night. The park caters to that and is very simple. Sites are nice, there’s full hook-ups and the park grounds are well maintained but there’s not much in the way of extra’s. Apparently they used to have a Good Sam’s rating but lost it because the pool is unusable. The main bonus is a large grassy field on the lower level of the park where doggie, kids & adults can run wild. Also there is good WiFi. This is an attached bar/restaurant but I wouldn’t recommend the food. The stop is worth it mainly for the Auto museum next-door, but otherwise this is not a destination vacation. Fine for a one-nighter, but not much more.
