The Administration is the Problem

The park is in a beautiful spot. The sites are poorly laid out, for big rigs. They are very close together. People are allowed to park helter skelter, encroaching on other sites, making some sites unusable, but they still rent them. The administration are unreasonable and focused on their booking/registration program and will not consider requests from customers. Their attitude seems to be 'we are here to make our work easier, not your stay better'. You can find a park with administration that is more amenable to their guests.

Stay

This is the greatest park. We keep coming back. The managers and staff are all very friendly and helpful. Clean and close to town and the medina river runs thru it. the managers ride around in golf carts and talk with all the campers. Friendliest people ever.

Great Stay

Just don't know what these other people are raving about. The managers are the friendliest people and so is the staff. When you have friends using their facilities they have a right to charge. Pioneer at Port Aransas charges for extra guest and cars. I go there alot also. So you people that are girpping must have not wanted to follow rules.

NEVER AGAIN

This is the worst place I have ever stayed. We go to the Pioneer at Port Aransas all time and love it. I am surprised these are the same owners. Goes to show how different managers work the business

Pioneer River Resort

I would not recommend this rv resort to anyone and I will never go back. The managers are the most unfriendliest people, they ride around on their golf carts just trying to find something you are doing wrong. I have stayed at a dozen rv parks in Texas and this was the worst. I would recommend driving a little further up the road towards Kerrville and stat at Koyote Ranch.

Stay away from this one

Most unfriendly people running this place. The gestapo patrols the grounds and enforces additional outrageous charges. We were going to have guests for dinner and were told that not only would we be charged $4 per person but each vehicle was an additional $5 charge and they would have to park at the entry and walk in(about a block). Although appearances were nice, the park was clean and did have a pool, I would never consider or recommend staying here. We moved after staying about 6 hours to Riverside RV park on Hwy 16 in Bandera (about 3 blocks from this park.

Pioneer RV Park

Lots of trees, great amenities, on the Medina River. Within walking distance from downtown.
