Colonia del Rey, Corpus Christi, Tx Waldron Road

Our stay was 9/2/13 to 9/9/13. I will agree with the previous reviews, the grounds are well maintained. The major problem we found was the internet, in our site we had no connection, unless we went to the very hot recreation hall. There is according to staff another router tower planned.

very nice

We pulled in and the ladies were very nice and extremely helpful. They took us to our site and made sure we were ok. The park was clean and everything was well maintained. The only suggestion would b to put ac in the public restrooms. Other than that it was a nice stay. We will definitely b there again.

Colonia del Rey RV Park, Corpus Christi, TX

Facilities: Very Accomodating- Laundry, pool, rec-hall, very clean shower house/restrooms

Staff: Wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. They were more than willing to help us and answer any questions. They guide you to your spot, and help leave, if you need help getting around tight corners. When Tanner offered to work in any way available, they actually allowed him to earn a little money for raking! :)

Area: This location was very close to all the attractions. (20 min. or less)

Price: For our family of 7, it was $193/week.

Overall: I would recommend this RV park to a family, or older couple. Everyone was so sweet. We even hung out and played BINGO one evening, and everyone made us feel welcome. :)

Fond memories

We really wanted to park the RV for a few weeks during Christmas and set up a tree and put up a few decorations. We also wanted a warm locale. Glad we didn't pick Florida this year. We settled on Corpus Christi, Texas, which turned out to be a decent pick. The campground we picked was Colonial Del Rey, close to Padre Island. Fair amount of things to do in Corpus Christi and of course there are beaches and lots of water nearby.

Staff - Very kind peeps here. Everyone took a real interest in our little guys! There are plenty of trees here, enough to block our satellite service. Close to a busy street and fire department.

We paid an average of $24 a night most of it as a weekly rate. This is their busy season with lots of winter Texans. Bathrooms were Decent and well kept up.

When we had neighbors on both sides it felt crammed a little, but the boys still rode bikes almost everyday we were there.

A pool and hot tub (big plus for me), library, small playground and again lots of planned activities, mostly for the older folks. We did take part in several of their Christmas activities.
Good maintenance crew.

Laundry with the best and cheapest dryers we have seen, full hook-ups, dumps, no propane but a truck comes around every day but Sunday for those needing a fill-up, several shower stations. They also let us receive packages there.
We will always remember with fondness our stay at this RV park during this Christmas season.
