Find another place to stay
Do yourself a favor and stay at the KOA. We booked 3 years in advance for the eclipse and were gouged at $200/night with a four night minimum (regular rate between $40 and $50).
I understand the excessive fee, but what galls me is when booking, the owner didn't say no showers, no bathrooms, no wifi. Nor does the Web site. In my 20 years of rv camping, only one place didn't have toilets.
The Web site shows beautiful lawns and two lovely chairs and bench. That's not the case. The water's edge was grundgy and laden with trash.
And then there's William, the "helper," a petty tyrant overseeing speed limits, trash, and any other thing he can take time to explain to ensure you know he's the guy in charge.
I suggest you avoid Riverside RV Park.
Spaces too tight.
Small park shaped like a tight figure 8. If you have a long rig don't try it! Most sites taken by RVs not occupied. Right on river, pretty views. Two long fifth wheels came and left without trying to get in.
Beware of flash floods!
Nice park with friendly staff, clean laundry, and accessible sites. Beautiful sites along the river Just beware of the rising water during the rainy season. We were evacuated due to a flash flood and spent the night with everyone else in the church parking lot up the hill!
