Wonderful campground
Spacious sites, beautiful bathhouses, friendly staff, quiet...very nice!
Wonderful place to stay near DFW
Hickory Creek is a COE park located on Lake Lewisville in the town of Hickory Creek. The address listed here is the park office, not the campground.
Nearby attractions - 8 - Plenty to do nearby.
Staff - 8 - Camp hosts are very friendly
Natural surroundings - 9 - The park covers a very large area with much being lakefront, there are deer, wild turkeys, and lots of ducks.
Value - 9 - We paid $16, reservable through recreation.org
Bathrooms - 7 - Showers were hot, and in good working order. Care is made to keep the restrooms clean
Roominess - 10 - We had like an half acre + of space behind our site
Facility fun - 5 - Bike trails and a playground, and of course the lake
Cleanliness - 7 - Better than average for a government park
Facility usefulness - 5 - No Laundry facilities, No wifi, dump station
Summary: This is a wonderful place to stay, the biggest negative is that you cannot return after 10PM. Fills up ahead of time on weekends. You can hear the hum of 1-35E as it carries over the lake.
