Disappointing
We stayed in Midland RV Park for over 8 months as we recently retired and came to Midland to be with our small grandkids. RV parks are full to the max due to the oilfield here, so you take what you can find. The daily management ranges from awesome to totally frustrating depending on which work-camper staff is on duty. The park is full of oilfield workers that come and go 24-7. Site is all gravel and dirt minimally maintained and is dusty or muddy. Rates just jumped by $175 month bringing our rate to over $800 per month with the added electricity charges. They certainly do not cater to the RV'ing community. My advice is if you're traveling, I would consider this a" if there is no other choice" overnight spot.
Convenient location
Agree mostly with the first review posted below. There are many permanent residents in the older sections of this park however the overnight section where visitors are assigned spaces is very well kept, level, with full-hook up sites, excellent wifi service, and a robust cable television lineup. Satellite reception is excellent in the this section because there are no trees; the rest of the park has quite a few trees on many of the sites.
It's a good stop for a few days when visiting the area. We stayed here 3 nights in our travel trailer and would visit again. The rate below reflects Good Sam discount.
ZERO stars
The title above says it all. This is NOT an RV park, this is a place where people live in their dirty trailers.
Staff needs to go
The staff is rude . They change the rules after you get set up .my Rv is way newer then half of the stuff they have in the back . Want let you cook out side are have a fire pit but other trailers have trash & tool boxes around them .
Good overnight stop over
Sites are all gravel with no grass between sites with sufficient space to park a vehicle between units. There are fair size trees in the older part of the park but none in the newer section that is used for overnight parking. Sites are level, 50 amp, water, sewer, and WiFi and cable are free. Sites do not have tables or grills. We did not visit the restrooms or showers but they are next to the office so are more apt to be better maintained that remote buildings. Good Sam discount is available. Park is convenient to I-20 with good access to the town and shopping. We travel in a 40’ motorhome with a tow and it was easy in and out within the park. I would not consider this a destination park but our RV club has had several rallies’ here because of the centralized location. There is a recreation room with cooking facilities. The older section of the park appeared to be extended stay units so we didn’t drive through it but the overnight section was clean and well maintained. We will stop here again.
