Disappointed!
I called to make reservations and was told the only sites available were their pull thru?s for $56.00/night. After telling her I didn?t want to pay that much, she found a back in site for $26.00/night. She needed all info on RV and pickup, our RV is a 2004, Teton Grand, 39? 5th wheel...they only accept 10 year old or newer so I explained to her the make and model so she said we could stay. Although we were only an hour or less from the park, she needed my credit card info and sent the card through for payment prior to our arriving.
There are grassy sites with concrete pads behind the office and there are native grass/sand with sand burrs and thorns with concrete pads in another area of the park...and this is where they put us.
With a large RV, our sight was very difficult to back into and we had to cut a few limbs from the tree located next to the RV. Our dogs had thorns and sand burrs stick to their fur every time we walked them.
After setting up camp, we saw they had many back up sites, both in our area and the grassy site areas and I?d say they were only 2/3 full so the ?we only have pull thru sites? was a rue to get us to take the bait!
We stayed two days and when we got ready to leave, it was tight getting out of the site. The streets are narrow and if there had been any RV?s moved in across from us, we wouldn?t have been able to get out.
Before I forget, the paperwork given at the time we checked in stated no firearms on the premises, only two dogs allowed and they did not allow any refunds so even if we decided not to stay there, they would not have refunded our money. We don?t recommend and we won?t go back!
Needs updated but clean.
German owned park. This park is located next to small airport that has coast gaurd planes who practice loops over park. Helicopters are expected as well. Makes having windows open on nice days, noisy. Sitting outside, noisy. This park is older so pads are small but are all concrete. Parking is tight and at times a problem. This park caters to winter Texans. The laundry facilities are fair when all machines are working. The shower facilities are dated and could be cleaner. Has newer saltwater pool, is nice. People are friendly and overall park is ok.
Lovely Corpus Christi Area RV Park
Formerly "Rockport 35 RV Park", there are now new owners and new managers! This is a very nice, clean RV Park with easy access to lots of great Corpus Christi area attractions and activities. They offer nice, large concrete sites, many of which are surrounded by beautiful oak trees. Each RV site offers full hookups with water, sewer and 50-amp electric. The resort offers a pool (domed & heated in the winter), WiFi (basic access is free, but you can pay for more/faster service), large clubhouse, clean laundry, etc. We stayed here for a few nights on our way further south, but plan to stay longer again on our way back north!
