Don't let this be a choice when looking for an RV park!

The manager at this park does nothing but harass and snoop around your RV! She Is always nosey. It has been a horrible experience staying here and do NOT recommend this park to anyone!!!

Great place w easy access to sites and shops, low rates.

We stayed here for 2 months and had a great time. Not far from Lackland AFB and city busses to downtown to Alamo, Riverwalk, ect. Tractor/trailers next door can get a little noisy at times but mostly quiet and good place to relax. The host Rhonda was very helpful and quick to resolve any problems. Also she was nice enough to check on us now and then as my wife is on O2 and has many health problems. There is nowhere else in San Antonio that we would rather stay and we are going back there again soon.

I Love It!

It is a very peaceful place to live! I Love It as I said in the Title!! The RV Host, Rhonda, is a gem. She is always there to greet you on arrival and makes sure you are comfortably set up. Rhonda is also a fabulous grounds keeper. It always looks like a golf course around here. The restroom, shower, and laundry rooms are always clean and smell great! Thank you Harry

Great Stay @ Happy Trails

I just wanted to say that I absoluty love staying here @ Happy Trails Rv Park. I stay here everytime me and my husband are in town whether it is for busniess or pleasure. We enjoy are stay here the prices are very affordable @ 19.99 a night. Its a great enviroment where not only is the RV host Lucille is very helpful and sweet. They Have a groundskeeper that is there onsite as well for if anything is to go wrong and you need her assistance. I had a water leak on my camper and Ms. rhonda the groundskeeper was there to help me fix it immediatly. Her and Lucille were very friendly from the moment I pulled in they helped guide us into our lot and level our camper. Not to mention the lot had a great sized patio which was convient for us to have our lawn furniture and bar b que pit just to relax and enjoy the day. the property is well Shaded with trees that are kept trimmed so they look great. There is also a onsite laundry mat and shower facilitys that are always kept clean unlike some of the places we have stayed. the park is always clean and tidy. Very Quiet neighborhood I felt very comfortable leaving my camper there as we traveled downtown. Which is located just down the street. We took the bus lines that are here and the bus stop was located right out the driveway ,we didnt have to search for a location, which was very nice. There arer a few perment residents but they pretty much kept to there selves. I did meet a few of them and they were all very plesant.

Nice Stay!

My husband and I stay there about six times a year. Lucille is the RV Host and is always there to watch our RV when we go to our seminars. Quiet and lots of shade trees. There is plenty of room and patios at all of the spaces. For the price of $19.99 per night it is definitely worth it!

Good for the Price

My rating of this place is based simply on what you're getting for the price. Happy Trails is a quiet, no-frills, inexpensive RV park. For $20 a night you get a safe place to park with full hookups and a laundry facility. That's it, folks. If you're just passing through and can live without the gated entrance, shower facilities and game room, you'll do just fine here. Lucille, the manager who lives at the park, is lovely to work with. There are a lot of permanent residents, but I've been here four days and haven't seen any of them, so it's safe to say they keep to themselves. I would stay here again, rather than pay the $45 they're asking for next door.

$19.99 turned into a $650 disaster!

This "rv park" is equivalent to a dump and when it rains it is comparable to a swamp. When my husband and i arrived on Friday evening we pulled our 40 foot motor coach all the way to the back of the site because that's where the "check-in office" was located. After driving it to the back, we realized there was no turn around so my husband would have to reverse all the way to the front of the property since that is the spot we were designated. The manager's trailer was filled with trash, cigarettes, and other debris. After filling out the paperwork she then told me that she would only accept cash for the $19.99 rate that was quoted on the website. She said that we could pay her the following morning since she did not have any change for our $100 bill. This woman then directs my husband into our designated spot which was basically mud and muck. Because of this, we get stuck and are unable to get access to the hook ups. This is where all of the trouble really starts... She then tells my husband that he was on his own and he would have to figure out how to get our bus out of there, but not before demanding he pay her for the previous night. My husband then asked for information on how he could contact the owner. The owner never returned our phone calls. However, a man claiming to be the owner did approach us as we were having the rv towed and began to talk down and yell at us. We felt threatened and told him we would be leaving as soon as the rv was pulled out of the mud. We moved to the KOA rv park down the street and it is ten thousand times nicer than Happy Trails. I was able to walk my puppy and park my car without being covered in mud every time I stepped out.
