Easy access to Dallas
Located on the east side of Dallas, away from most of the congestion and noise of the big city. All gravel pull-thru sites, they're fairly close together but mostly level. No trees so satellite reception is great, and over the air channels abound because of the close proximity to the city. The wifi system worked very well. Very quiet park at night, and no highway noise at all.
The park is still recovering from a Dec 2015 tornado but the sites that are in use are in full working order and free of debris. We stayed here in a travel trailer and would stay again.
Quiet gem of a park
In an area of affluent homes, close to the big city sits this quiet little park, hidden behind a big white mansion on a lake. Nothing fancy about the park, but sites were level and it was pleasantly quiet.
Great!!!!!!
I've been coming to this little gem since 2002. The key to this park is the location 1st. You are close to everything from Dallas to Rockwall and everything in between. But what sets it apart is that it is a clean, quiet and SAFE park! I had business to do in Dallas and had no problem leaving my wife and 4 year old daughter there. The staff was very helpful when I had to stay a couple of extra nights due to a medical reason. This is the only place I stay when in Dallas
great dallas area base camp
Park is located in a very up scale neighborhood, extremely safe and quiet, yet only a short 15 to 20 min drive to downtown Dallas. Park has all the amenities I was looking for ie: ultra fast wifi, more than 75 channels of cable (some even in HD), laundry and picnic tables by the pond, where you can watch the beavers build their den. This is truly an oasis to be so close to the DFW Metroplex. I always stay here for business or just visiting family/friends, all I need is only minutes away.
Not worth it
Will not return. No trees, no picnic tables, very close to each other. Most campers are permanent. No amenities. The picture of the beautiful home and trees out front is very deceiving.
