Membership Park

A very old park not properly set up for large RVs. Typical for East Coast parks of that era. There is a level gravel area that offers 50 amp service and can accommodate large RV's and small groups. No shade and little more then a parking lot. The interior of the park is well shaded with numerous RV sites. Many are not level. 30 amp service is acquired from water-proof electrical boxes bolted on trees! Although most sites do not offer sewer, pump out service is available for a small fee. The small restrooms around the park reflect the age of the park OUTDATED! This is also a Passport of America park and is also owned by many private residents. There is a pool and small general store as well as boat rentals to be used on Holland Reservoir. The saving grace to this park is an Antique Fair held once a year.

Pleasant but. . .

This an old park. Great jump off point to The American River. River excursion buses' travel in and out of the park every few hours. There is also a day use area. Truck loads of rafters, and swimmers on weekends. The park also caters to large groups and offers a couple of rental cabins, including a river front Tee-pee with queen bed.
Several back in sites are shaded. Nicely stocked general store. Although there are private shower stalls, the toilet block is old and filthy! Many flies over the toilet. The upside is The American River and the low cost to camp here. Much of the park is covered by old fruit trees. Lotus Gold Mine state park is only a couple of miles away.

Great jump off point to The American River. River excursion buses' travel in and out of the park every few hours. This is also a day use area. Truck loads of rafters, and swimmers on weekends.
Several back in sites are shaded. Nicely stocked general store. There are separate shower stalls, very private. However the toilet block is old and filthy! Many flies over the toilet. The upside is The American River and the low cost to camp here. Lotus Gold Mine state area is only a couple of miles away.

Great Park

Pricey but nice. Commercial water slide installed in rear of park. 2 miles from downtown Gettysburg.

We managed the Cafe' which offers hot and cold items at Drummer Boy Resort, giving us first hand knowledge of the facility and what it has to offer. The resort offers 400 campsites situated on 95 acres. Several rental units are also available including 12 cabins and 27 cottages with lofts. Many rentals offer luxury accommodations. The camp store has a range of provisions from groceries, RV supplies, and battlefield souvenirs. A large game room offers video and action packed arcade games. There is also a miniature golf range which overlooks one of two swimming pools. A large activity pool displaying a 250 ft water slide is located at the rear of the park.

The park is approximately 1 1/2 miles from the town of Gettysburg and all it has to offer. Although nightly ghost walks are advertised, a tour of the battlefield is a must see.
