We go to Ute Lake every summer! The only problem that I have is that it's crowded on weekends and holidays! The jet skiers think that they own the lake and that we should all get out of their way! I'm sure it's like that @ every lake, but....The staff at Ute is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are very clean. There is a lack of trees at the electric sites, but an abundance @ the tent sites.
OMGoodness! We just got our travel trailer and wanted to try it out. So we hopped over to this beautiful well kept secret of Texas'. We were very impressed! It was gorgeous and it was winter! The boys loved climbing and exploring! It was way cool to wake up and see turkey in the front yard grazing along with the mule deer. The only drawback was when you spend the night they also charge an admission fee ($5 per person), which seemed a little excessive to me. Everything was in working order and the sites were extremely clean. Very friendly staff!
