Great little park

This is a nice little park. The owners are friendly & helpful. The park is kept clean and well maintained, for the most part. Sites were level. Good water pressure. It was 95+ degrees during our stay and the power never faultered.
There is a 20X40 dog area that is gravel and weeds, primative fencing, too. Due to other lazy dog owners, there was also poop lying around. No other place to walk a dog, though. Close to area attractions and railway station. Take a day trip to Boston. About a mile to the beach. Lots of places to eat sea food. The owner will guide you into your site as some might be very tight for a big rig.

Beautiful campground

Beautiful old park. Nice size sites that were level. Plenty of water pressure. Room for big rigs. Nice pool, lake (pond) and stream. Large recreational area for the dog to run, though it is not fenced. People were nice in the office. Secured gate entrance at night. Quiet place, no road noise. Good restaurants near by. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great base for DC touring

This family RV resort has something for everyone. 2 large pools, one for kids. Onsite snack bar with great food, try the homemade crab cake sandwich. Game room, computers, TV room, jucuzzi.
Sites were level and not too crowded. Park personnel were friendly. Nice store. Lots of kids!

A diamond in the rough

This city owned campground is a result of Hurricane Floyd in 1999. It flooded a section next to the Contentnea Creek and the homes could not be rebuilt. The city decided to turn the area into an RV park with walking trails and a play ground. Sounds like a good idea, right? Unfortunately, they need a little more attention to get it right. There are no bath houses, just air conditioned toilets. They were a mess and not clean, being open to the public. The campground is isolated from the rest of the town and it is very peaceful and tranquil. We listened to the birds while sitting outside. No traffic noise. There were four other RV's on site, long term with construction workers. Luckily, it was a holiday weekend and they all went home. We were the only occupied RV in the campground. Lot's of open space to run the dog. The site was level and open. Plenty of shade from large trees, but yet open spots to set up a satellite dish. We were able to pick up two local TV stations on our antenna. Good water pressure. No pool, no 50 Amp service, no cable, no wi-fi. This is a very basic campground that is quiet, on a river, and very cheap. We had to go to the police station to check in. A policeman escorted us to our site, a lot better than following a golf cart with a campworker driving. Being the only camper there, we were concerned about security. The local police drove through every few hours.

Very pricey CG

We've stayed here twice. Very expensive. Sites are not that large. Bath houses were clean. There was a constant flow of people past both sides of our site. Cars, golf carts, pedestrians, Model T's, etc. Unsupervised kids driving golf carts. One almost hit my truck. Many activities near by for kids. On the beach, but the sites nearest the beach do not have any shade. Very hot. This place is too pricey and too crowded.

Family campground

This is a shaded RV park with a lot of permanent units. Lots of fishing in the area. Park is older and well established. Lots of kids running around on golf carts. Sites were not level, but the ground is very sandy and muddy when it rains. Bathrooms were older but clean. Organized activities galore. Large pool. Did I mention the large number of permanent trailers?

Old campground

This is NOT a Resort. It might have been a nice park 20 years ago. The sites are close together. My awning was over the next site's sewer. Access was difficult. If you have a big rig, forget it. The pool closed at 8:00 pm. The bathrooms are old, poorly maintained, and smelly. I'll stay in the local Wal Mart next time.

Beautiful KOA CG

This is one of the nicest KOA's. Period.
They recently renovated and expanded. Two pools, individual showers at the newer pool. Screended deck by the pools w/wi-fi.
Cable TV, large shaded sites that are level. The park is clean and the well maintained land scaping adds to the beauty of the park. It's near I-95, but isoated enough to have minimal road noise. We had a deluxe site with a private patio. Nice.

One of the better KOAs

This CG has recently been renovated and enlarged. Very nice. Two pools, wide sites, good water pressure, level sites, clean place. Bring your bug spray. Well equiped store. Highway noise not excessive with EZ access to I-95.

Great place to fish

We stayed here in the Fall; beautiful area. You can rent boats to go out on the lake to fish or in my case, drown worms. A number of long term trailers were there, but it didn't feel or look like a trailer park. Nice people. Our sites were level, but there are some that weren't. Bring your fishing pole.
