We were in the lower level with new trees, little shade. It will improve with time. Upper level had some tight sites. Our area was level. Very quiet with a little road noise occasionally. Nice people. Park was kept clean & neat. Real close to the Farmer's Market. Good base camp for visiting Asheville.
Stopped here for an overnite; it was so nice, we stayed longer. Large, level sites w/convenient hook ups. Clean park. Nice bath house & laundry facility. BBQ cookout for supper. Large pool.
Just an awesome place to hang out for a few days.
This is a resort on the beach. It is pricey, but there's lots to do. Many of the sites are close together. There is constantly traffic going by; foot or vehicles. As mentioned, lots of kids.
The ownership is still unknown, but they're doing a good job. Pool, small pond, play area, activities. Nice place near the NC zoo. Some sites need leveling.
Beautiful state park camping. No sewer at site but there is a dump site. Be careful when choosing a site online. Somes sites need leveling. 30A only with water at sites. No heat in showers/bath rooms. Nice lake. Peaceful & quiet. Gates lock at 8 pm
This place does it right. Large lake with catch & release. Large level sites; some with a private hot tub. Swimming pool, walking/bike path around the lake. Private baths. Friendly people. A top 10 CG.
This is a good CG if you want to tour the Jacksonville area. Typical KOA. Nice sites, good water pressure, two fenced dog runs. Clean park & fairly quiet. RV wash at entrance.
This state park is a great place to spend a weekend camping. Online reservations make it easy to reserve a site, bit the good ones fill up fast. Thick woods, good size sites include many double sites. No sewer at the sites, but there is a dump station. No heat in the bathrooms, but there clean with showers. One of our favorite weekend get aways. Bring your fishing pole!
The CG is beautiful. Shaded sites. Fishing pond and new swimming pool. Breakfast offered on weekends. Nice people running this newer KOA. Excellent place to stay when visiting Mayberry, I mean Mt. Airy.
