We stayed here for a week and enjoyed our time here. It is close to the highway system which is great for doing some sightseeing. The roads and pads are gravel, but well maintained. Spaces have grass areas and there is lots of grass areas to walk the dog. We would definitely stay here again. Draw back is, no discounts.
Spent 4 nights here and did two day trips into Yellowstone. Park is maybe a mile from the north entrance to the park and only 5 or 6 miles to the Mammoth Hot Springs area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Travel ways and pads are gravel but smooth. Would stay here again.
Nice little RV Park on the bank of the Clearwater River. We only stayed one night but were impressed with the place. Would stay here again if we were in the area. The owner was very nice and helpful. Only down part is that there is no AT&T coverage any where nearby.
For a place to park your rig and sleep in it this place is OK. We spent 3 nights with full hookups and 30 amp service. This is and older park and seems to be in transition. They have added som park homes and some manufactered homes for tempory housing. There are some 50 amp sights but not many. The park is on the north edge of the town and aboout 7 miles to the Canyon Rim and easy walking distance to several resturants and a grocery store in town. Not many people here in early April, but I bet it gets busy in the summer months.
We were going to stay just one night, but we decided to stay for two so we could see the ruins. The camp is quite and well run. You get some noise from the freeway and trains that are 2 or 3 miles away, but it is not bad enough to be annoying. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
We stayed here for 4 nights. We were only going to stat for 2 but decided to rest some while we were here. The park is quite except when the wind blows. The people working here were helpful and friendly. Nice laundary facility and clubhouse. Most there is a mix of gravel and concrete pads. All pads are level and there is grass areas in most of the sites. We would stay here again if in the area.
We agree with the previous review. You can see that there have been some improvements done to the park. It sounds like they have up graded parts of the electrical system to amp. It seems to me that they are woring on systems and wainting on the cosmetic items for later. We are spending days here maybe more. Are with the comment about the staff being very friendly and attentive. This place will go up in rating as time goes on.
For staying just one night it is hard to write a review. We got there earily evening to this gated facility, in a nice rain storm. In checking in I found the staff to be a little on the surly or maybe stuff side. Anyway they asigned us a back-in space and when you are driving a 36 foot motorhome, towing a car in a driving rain, the last thing you want to do is get out and unhook and then have your wife out helping back in. With the number of empty pull- throughs they had that night you think they could have given a little good will and customer service. We decided to go into see what Chowchilla had to offer, and when we returned we found that the fob they gave us to open the gate did not work. Well we were lucky for one of guest happen to come by and was able to let us in. When I turned it in the next AM and I told them that it didn't work there was no sorry and not much remorse.
Spent 3 nights here in November on a Club outing. We had full use of the club house for the weeekend. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the facilities were neat and clean. Management seems to work at keeping the place maintained. Several things to see and do near by. Will probaly go here again.
