My husband and I went for a weekend getaway with out the kids. This is where we ended up. Such a nice park, with beautiful scenery. Sites were fairly decent, but could use some maintenance upkeep. Seemed to have a eater large game room for the kiddos. Never did make it to the bathrooms to review those, but we would definitely go again.
Very small park, but as like every camping trip, you make the most of it. If you are looking for a quite, relaxing place to go and enjoy picturesque scenery on a nice ride, this is the place to go. If you don't have high expectations, this is the place for you. We'd go again if we went without kids. Not much to keep them occupied.
Clean campground, full hook up site that we had had water hook ups in front of our trailer and all of the other hook ups behind us. Thankfully we had enough hose to accommodate. We never connected cable because that was also on the opposite side. (site 179)
Bathrooms need an upgrade to include locking doors. As with any camping adventure, we made the best of the situation but of weather wasn't as nice, we would have been an unhappy crew.
Best campground in the northeast! We love starting out camping season out in April here. Indoor pool, hot tub and jacuzzi, great lounge for adults and children, and by far the MOST impressive dog park ever! Can't wait to go again!
Spent a weekend here and enjoyed it. The owners are very friendly and accomodate you if you are having a problem. The sites are very nice sized and is a beautiful campground to visit in the fall to see folliage. Very secluded and not close to much, so don't go if you are looking for stuff to do around the area. We would definitely go again.
This campground is great! Lots for the kids to do with planned activities. They have a dog run and is clean and well maintained. We camp here every fall to celebrate Halloween for Columbus Weekend! The campground decorates (each site too), have bingo, haunted house, and hay rides at night to look at the sites. Kids can go trick-r-treating too! If you want a greeat place to go with the family and enjoy the crisp fall air...look no further!
We made reservations to stay here so we could go tubing down the Schroon River to our campground. When we arrived, we were told we couldn't tube anymore because of the work they are doing on the bridge. They no longer rented tubes and if we wanted to we could go to their sister campground and spend $8.00 a person to take a guided tour of the river. Forget that! We had basically come to the conclusion we wouldn't be tubing, but instead we found an island that we could all walk out to and hang out on. It ended up making the whole trip enjoyable. Sites are a good size and clean. If tubing is what you want, bring some tubes with you just incase.
Buddy sites are available, which would be nice if you are camping with a buddy. If not, you are breathing on the group sharing your sight. The campground was nice, however, there is very little geared for children, unless you call a pool table and pool enough to keep you child busy. Best part of the campground was watching the skydivers jumping from the nearby airport. I would only return if I didn't have the kids.
