This park is very nice. The entire park is covered in the shade of trees. It is located directly off of 515 North in Morganton, Ga. Being that close to the highway it is surprising that it is so quiet. The Wifi Is good and accessible throughout the park. The TV signal is nonexistent. The gravel site are fairly level but you will have to do some leveling. The store is great and offers DVDs for rental for those rainy days. The showers and restrooms are very clean and pretty well set up. There are laundry facilities are also. They do sell memberships to the pool to the locals so it gets a little busy. Overall the Park is great and i will be staying again.
This is a big beautiful park. Be sure to follow the directions on the website and not your GPS it will take you down dirt roads that are hard to navigate. The staff is friendly and the office has hand dipped ice cream. The fishing on site could have been better but left from the park about half a mile on he right is a bridge where the DNR stocks regularly.
This park was great. The location can't get any better if you are looking to do some trout fishing in North Georgia. Spent seven nights and caught 25 nice size rainbow trout. The staff is very nice especially Gina. The only drawback is it isn't the easiest park to get in as you have to back in to all the sites and they have very little turn around space. They do have tubers there every day except Sunday, but they really don't get in the way or interrupt anything and on Saturday they have to park across the street. Do make time for the two hours tubing trip it is beautiful and is only $10 per person.! There is no TV reception and cell service is hit or miss especially on ATT so be ready to spend a lot of time just enjoying the Beautiful scenery. The park is just great overall. This is a must see in North Georgia.
