Uneven, but perhaps worth it

Due to circumstances we are staying in this park in the middle of winter. Not really the high season for Pickwick Lake.

We are the only ones here - which has its upsides. The sites are large and there are even a couple of pull throughs. Being 40' we tried a pull through, but found the real problem here is that there isn't a level spot in the whole campground (except for the two handicapped spots which are concrete and perfectly level). We ended up moving to a back in spot and parked on the dirt as it was more level than the asphalt.

The rangers check on the campground throughout the day and even the night and are very nice. The nearby state lodge has a great outdoor swimming area (in the summer).

The showerhouse was about average, but I found that the water didn't get super hot.

We have good Verizon LTE coverage here. AT&T is barely a bar.
