Geiger key RV Park

Nice spot and off the beaten path. There is a great restaurant and bar at the park, the food was great... About half the spots were on the water, very little shade.. Bathrooms were old but clean. Staff was great. About 10 miles from Key West..Nice place to relax......

on the beach

There are two parts to Edisto beach S.P. the main part is on the beach. The other is inland by just a mile but not on the island. Beachside is nice but a bit cramped with little separation of sites, but it is just a short walk and you are on the beach. yes it is a nice beach.. The inland campground is also nice if you don't need the beach, parking for our 24 class c was very nice as this spot is not as congested as the beach sites. There was a piggly wiggly at the entrance of the beach park and several nice places to eat in walking distance...Bathrooms are rather old and damp but were clean I shall return... Happy Trails... Ocracoke campground

I love this place...We stayed here last June 2013, a little ahead of the summer crowd. The grounds are nice and level but there is little vegetation to separate camp spots. There are cold water showers available on grounds. The best part of this island campground is a short walk over the sand dunes and you are on the beach, at this time of the year it was not crowded at all. Just before sunrise I would go for a long walk on a long beach and there wasn't a person to be seen. chicken soup for the soul... Great boondocking..Happy Trails

pocomoke state park

First let me say I didn't stay in the park but did drive through it last June 2013. The roads in and out were good as this park is a bit off the beaten path. Most of the camp sites were among trees so finding shade wasn't a problem. Bathroom facilities appeared nice and clean. We spent some time at the boat launch area down on the river and saw a bald eagle on the cypress trees. This is a beautiful spot and very quiet. I shall return. happy trails.
