Now that it has new owners this is a wonderful campground. Has a nice little pool, clean showers, very pet friendly, and plenty of room for kids to roam. Only drawback are some of the trees limbs covering the sites are a little low.?
Pool, camp store, and nature center are all new. Campsites are huge, concrete pads, and grill. Close to the beach and you don't have to pay to park at the beach. Downside to this park are the bathhouses. Need to be cleaned a lot better and updated.
The park itself is ok. It has a great pool area and a nice clubhouse but the real attraction is the beach. The proximity to the beach is awesome. It's great when you can walk 100 yds. From your motorhome and be standing in the Atlantic Ocean. The beach is huge and not very crowded, great place for kids.
This KOA is in the perfect location to all of the areas attractions. The pools were great and the sites were clean and large enough for our big rig and toad. Showers however were a bit dated. We will return for another visit. Kids loved riding on the trails.
While the grounds are a little outdated this koa has everything you need for a long stay and the backdrop is phenomenal. The pool and hot tub relatively new and are a great place for you and the kids to relax after a long day of hiking at glacier national park.
We have stayed at this park for the last 3 years during the rally. This was our last time. The owner is one of worst owners that we have experienced in all our years of camping. We knew from the two previous years that he could be a jerk but we just dealt with him because of the location of the park. However, this year he went above and beyond. We caught him in several lies regarding our sight and our spot in the park and size of our spot. When confronted he invited us to leave saying, " I already have your money ". Save yourself the headache of dealing with him and go to another park.
P. S.
The only reason I gave this review 2 stars is because of the location of the park to Sturgis.
