I had made a reservation here for two nights. A medical issue came up and it looked like we would have to cancel, or at least postpone our trip. I called to cancel our reservation and was told they have a 14-DAY CANCELLATION POLICY! They refused to listen and kept stating on the phone that it was "policy." They refused to refund my fee.
Then she said I could move the reservation if I wished. Thinking we were only going to have to postpone a few days, I moved it back 5 days. Two days later it became apparent that we were going to have to cancel the trip altogether. Once again I called this place to cancel, and was told I would still have to pay for BOTH NIGHTS on BOTH RESERVATIONS! That, my friends, is the classic ripoff. There is NO business justification for treating customers like that.
From reading reviews of this place elsewhere on the web, the place sounds like a dump. Maybe we're lucky we cancelled. It's a sure thing that we will never stay here!
This park is operated by the city of Fort Wayne. Stayed there for one night in April 2014. Easy access off Coliseum Boulevard. The woman who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful.
They have full hookups and room for big rigs. Most sites are back-in. There are lots of trees here, which will be nice for shade in the summer, but could pose a problem for satellite TV. I could only get signal from one satellite instead of the usual two, and there were no leaves on the trees yet. I did not notice whether they have cable TV available. They have 50 amp service available.
I enjoyed my one night there and will go back again.
