A person at the visitor center sent me here. The new owner tries his best to make you happy. The park is clean and in good working order. Restrooms and showers are nice. Almost free of highway noise. No trains. Near the river and on a paved bike/running trail along the river. Big rig friendly. Away from city traffic.
I was skeptical of this park when I saw it from the street and when I heard the price. But I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the park and hooked up. Like most parks in this part of the Country, it is rather old. The owner has made every effort to keep it in repair and clean. The showers are clean and work good. The tv and wifi are marginal but I usually don't use them. It is quite and that is hard to find along I-40. Yes, the owner reminds me of my old retired military friends, a little gruff around the edges but he will do anything for you. The park met or exceeded the things that are important to me and I will stay again even though I usually don't spend the $28 spent here.
