Great park

Spent 5days here while on the way west to CA. Nice staff, nice sites, great selection of sites. Baths were some of the nicest we have seen. Right on Main Street with stores and restaurants. Nice pool, laundry. About 1 1/2 hrs to Zion park, other nearby attractions.

Nice enough but some negatives

We found the staff friendly and helpful. Campground older but well maintained. Lots of activities and things for kids, pool is there but small. The river and tubing looked like lots of fun. Close to what we wanted to do, sight see in Asheville area. The biggest downside, in our opinion, was the close proximity to the state highway and railroad tracks with their associated noise.

Had a comfortable stay

We chose this park to spend one night at, both coming and going, on a vacation to upstate NY from our home in SC. The park is just off the route we chose and offered a pull through site with full hook ups so it was very convenient for us on this trip. No wi-fi or TV hook up, but since we were just staying the night not a problem. It appears the park is largely used by long term or seasonal RVs. We were not there on a weekend or holiday and it was very quit. The park is situated along a nice quit river and has boat rentals. The swing at the waters edge near the boat launch was a nice touch. The bathrooms and showers near our site were older but clean. Ice is available across from the office and there are some limited items available in the small store. For the price, convenience on our trip, and facilities it was hard to beat. We will stay there again as our trips north usually go through Winfield, PA. Before I forget, the staff we had contact with were very friendly and helpful.
