Small, Quaint Campground

We spent 3 days at the 49er RV Ranch in June of 2016. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are clean and well kept. Upon arrival we checked in using the $20 off coupon. Three days for a total cost of $114. Check-in was easy and uneventful. Larry showed us our campsite and assisted us in backing into our site. Sewer, 30 & 50 amp service along with water and cable tv all provided. The campsite was shaded, graveled and fairly level. Our site was well deep enough for our motorhome, but most sites appear just a little too narrow. Our picnic table was directly next to our neighbor's sewer connection. The campground is a converted dairy farm from the 1800's. A lot of the old buildings are original from the old dairy. Although we did not experience it, gold panning is available near a water wheel. Our overall experience was good. The friendly staff, old buildings and cleanliness are a great attribute to this campground.

Mid-week stay

We stayed at Gold Country on Tues, Wed. & Thursday. The park was quiet, clean and our site was shady and fairly level. Large trees (pine, cedar and fir) dirt no grass. Paved roads in great condition. The park employees were pleasant and friendly. We had our three grandkids with us and had planned on them riding their bikes. Not gonna happen. This park is too hilly for smaller kids on bikes. Splash pad and pool are clean and well cared for. Miniature golf course is in need of repair. WiFi is basically nonexistent/useless. AT&T comes in well. No ice for sale, machine broken. Kinda tough for a three day stay with no ice available. Minor glitches, no ice and poor WiFi make this park a four instead of a five. Good Sam discount.

Great campground

Stopped here after driving all day down winding Hwy 1. We were only going to rest for one night and continue home to Central California. This campground was so quiet (didn't hear one dog bark) and clean we decided to stay an additional night. It's a large campground with mostly tent camping, but room for MH and trailers. Nice flat camping areas, laundry and a post office. A great campground to walk in to get a little exercise. Only issue was the internet did not work the first night. It seems the desk clerk who checked us in forget to give us a step of the log in process. It happens and we made it through. Would definitely stay here again. Good Sam discount of 10%.

Nothing special

Small, unlevel sites. Discourteous campers playing radios too loud, unleashed dogs shirting in neighboring camp sites. Wifi not working. Just not pleasant. But the staff was nice when checking in and views from certain locations in the park are beautiful. Negatives outweigh the positives.

Below average

Tight spaces, noisy campers, quiet hour not enforced, no cell service (AT&T), poor internet. Overall, just not an enjoyable stay.

Unfriendly staff

What a poor campground. From pulling in to register the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Sites are small, cramped and dirty. Be prepared to clean constantly. Did I mention that the staff is UNFRIENDLY! Never again.

Well Maintained

Jackson Rancheria is a very clean, well maintained campground. The staff is plentiful and pleasant. Water used by RV'ers is recycled. The staff gives you black water treatment for your tank and dumps your tank upon entering to make sure it's not contaminated with formaldehyde. Trees are planted throughout the campground, but have not matured enough to give much shade. Picnic tables at each site are heavy-duty, rubber-coated metal. The grass is watered nightly and we were advised not to park with our RV hanging off the cement parking area to avoid getting wet from the sprinklers. The entire campground is level with nice roadways and restrooms and great views of the surrounding area. Although the casino is fairly close it is not in view from the campground. A shuttle is provided and makes its rounds about every 20 minutes to half hour to take you to the casino. Although the campground was busy and close to capacity while we were here for three days, it was quiet and relaxing. Other campers were pleasant. It seemed like a lot of campers had dogs, but they were responsible, quiet and cleaned up after them. All in all, a nice campground. I would have gave a five star rating if the trees were larger and gave more shade, but that will come in time. We are looking forward to returning.

Repeat Camper

Our family has stayed at the Sequoia RV Ranch probably seven or eight times now. The campground is clean and quiet. Camp sites are a decent size and some parallel the river. My family usually stays in one of the river front sites, but they seem to be the sites that fill up first. Some river front sites have shade and some don't. Most of the other sites are shaded by larger trees. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'm sure we will be staying here again and again.
