This is the office address!!!

Please check location - campground is just into national forest on route 12 (from the east) about 10 miles along from route 89 junction.

REVIEW:
Campground is about 1mile up a forest road - signposted from route 12.
We were only people there and seemed very quiet.
About 9 sites of which half are easy to get level.
Clean drop toilets.
Water pump.
Quite a tight loop so not recorded for larger vehicles / trailers.
Really enjoyed staying there apart from a smart mouse who broke into campervan and kept us awake at 3am !

Location location location

One of the best places to stay in the park. Access to great hiking right on doorstep; e.g iceberg lake, ptarmigan and Grinnell glacier.
Very short walk across road to the Inn which has a decent shop, restaurant and pay ($2.50) showers - the inn has rooms and cabins.

Also short drive from the main park lodge with dining, bar (great cocktails!) and activities.

Sites next to river are great. Sites are level and wooded.

Busy in peak times - large campground was full by about 4pm in days we were there (late August)

Good enough but not the best of the NP sites

NP sites are busy through summer so we didn't have too many options.

Stayed here on loop C - a quiet loop next to lake. Has access to gorgeous lake side. Sites are wooded and can be hard to get level.

Recommended site for that area

Good fairly large campground with restrooms and lake access. Level sites and fits larger units.

Saw deer and even an otter in the lake (feeding on lily flower buds).

Was closed August 2015

Please check if this is open before going here - it was closed when we aimed for here.

Went to Skidmore Campground 10 miles up route 12 (another forest run campground - $10, quiet, no host)

Good large campground

Zion is a wonderful park and recommend staying somewhere on the shuttle route so you will not need your vehicle.
South Campground is easy walking to Visitor Centre.
We found the campgrounds level and well sized. Decent shade. Large campground.

Unexpectedly great little state park

Relatively small state park. Great area with the dunes very close. Facilities were clean.
Note that since the dunes are popular with off-road ATVs etc there will be some noisy traffic until the evening - not too loud.

Good campground, quieter than south rim

We had people in our group stay at the NP campsite and they liked it.
Since it was full, the NP Ranger recommended that we stay on a forest road near the park - for free.

Good RV spot in good location, a bit dearer than others

Good shade, near the river. Level sites. Was not too busy when we were there late July. Clean showers / toilets. Dearer than other options (we had the cheapest sites - others are dearer) but pluses make up for that.
Good service from the team there.

Great place to stop - recommended

Flat RV area was a welcome break from the San Juan Forest campgrounds.
Has some trees for shade. Excellent grassy area for tents.
Good prices breakfast and dinner plus well stocked shop.
