Road in campground tight in some places. Some sites are close together but not all. 33 foot travel trailer, + Tundra. Arrived October 29, leaving Nov 1. Would love to come back for longer stay.
Pulled out yesterday after spending 4 wonderful months there. Owners and staff are like family now after our extended stay. The area in general, the food & the people are fantastic! Not sure who's is better the people or the food! Fell in love with Cajun!!! Already made reservations for 8 months from now!!
Can't say enough about the night guard and his help last night. Called ahead to reserve a pull thru. Easy set up when tired and absolutely the best shower I've had in 5 months!!! Lots and lots of hot water with great pressure. Hope to be back when we have more time.
Stayed at El Rancho from Nov, 2014 till Jan. 2015. Would still be there if not for family matters. I've seen some complain about dirt road going in. If you drive with common sense there would be no issues. Campground had all we needed, even a dog run for our Schnauzers. Everyone we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful.
Would we go back? Yes!
The only things that we were not crazy about were things that no man had control over. The flies ( thank goodness for colder weather) and the wind.
The rate we paid was the Passport America. Very affordable!
