Very rustic! Dirt sites that are barely wide enough for your awning to not hit the RV next to you. This is mostly a tent campground, with many tent sites. There's only about a dozen RV sites and all but 3 are permanent residents. The gate is closed and padlocked 24/7 which makes it a pain to get in and out. The draw here is the San Gabriel River, which was nice. There is nothing within walking distance other than the river. Be safe driving around here! The road is very windy and we saw 2 accidents on our way out. One was severe and the driver had to be airlifted out.
Just stayed for one day while in San Diego to see a concert. It's quiet and clean. Not much to do, but the location is prime to many things in SD. Office staff seemed bored and not very friendly.
