Nice spot for a short stay.

Reservations were made by phone and were ready when we arrived. The clerk was efficient but not especially friendly.

Our shady site was a long way from the highway and quiet. The only noise was from children playing during the day and was not a problem. However, not all the sites were as spacious or shady as ours. The trailer sat level on the grass with the truck parked on gravel.

The bathrooms and showers were reasonably well maintained. Because they were at some distance, we did not take advantage of them. The campground did not have a swimming pool. The store carried just the essentials.

The utility hookups worked well until the 30 amp breaker decided to trip under the strain of the AC plus microwave (first time that's happened). It occurred on Sunday evening, of course, after maintenance had hung up their tool belts for the day. We managed to limp through the evening by not using the microwave and limiting the time the AC would run. WiFi was weak, especially at night.

We stayed two nights in a travel trailer.

We will be back!

Sharon made our reservation by phone, and checked the day before our arrival to confirm. She was very welcoming and friendly. The host was also interested in making sure our stay was pleasant and problem-free.

The shady site was reasonably level, requiring a couple leveling blocks on gravel. Our location, situated away from the road, allowed our door to open to a wooded area. The loudest noise came from birds.

The bathhouse was close and very clean and included a laundry. The swimming pool was clean and kept at a comfortable temperature. Very few items were sold at the campground; Cassville was nearby.

Hookups were normal and functioned as expected. WiFi was available but slow, especially in the evening. Cable was not available.

We stayed three nights in our travel trailer.

Can't get much better!

We were very happy with our three nights at AICG! While the facilities leaned a bit toward adults, there were many families who seemed to enjoy the campground very much. The sites were quite roomy and shaded, and the bathrooms clean and well maintained although the showers required payment. The view from our site, high on a hill, was magnificent and beautiful! We definitely would return for a repeat experience.

Good for kids

We spent of couple of nights at this park in our small TT. Our gravel site was level and surrounded by grass with electricity and water. It included a picnic table and fire pit. There was plenty of space between sites but few with good shade. Except for a nearby, irregularly scheduled train, the park was reasonably quiet. The shower and bathroom facilities were clean but not very convenient, being available only at the office complex. The free wi-fi was short on bandwidth, slowing down to a halt in the evening - probably due to some campers streaming movies. The staff was friendly and had lots of activities for adults and children throughout the day and evening. Besides a swimming pool the park had "banana" bikes for rent. The office area contained foosball tables and arcade type games along with a selection of board games. Overall, the campground was especially good for young families.

Nice, Clean, Crowded

The gravel site we had required leveling blocks. Facilities were excellent with lots of games and playground installations. Pool (crowded), showers, and toilets were very nice. The negatives: the sites were so close that the slide outs from adjacent sites interfered with each other and the sewer connection was a bit high, making a "downhill" flow nearly impossible. Few shaded sites. We'd return for a short stay.

Pleasant, but no frills

This park, located on the county fairgrounds, is owned and managed by the City of Cottonwood Falls. There were picnic areas, softball fields, (could pose a noise issue if a game were going on) playground and a public swimming pool as well as a nearby dollar store. The pool appeared to be very nice, although it was after hours when we were at the park. The five, mostly level, spots consisted of concrete runners on an unshaded grassy area conveniently located near reasonably clean restrooms and showers. All of the sites were pull-throughs on a first come - first serve basis. The fee of $15 per night which included water and electricity, was a bargain. There was a dump station in the park, but no wi-fi, cable, or sewer hookups were available. The only complaint concerned a faulty control in the men's shower. The water temperature could not be adjusted or turned off. Overall, we enjoyed staying there and would definitely return.
