We were just passing through and needed a place for the night. We made the reservation from PA and he didn't require a deposit. He also warned us about the 22 ft bridge and provided accurate alternate routing to bypass the bridge. The sites are level and clean. Has a boat ramp and fish cleaning station. The road from the freeway was cement and like a 2 lane freeway. I highly recommend this place and I will return if traveling thru the area.
This the second time I have stayed. It is clean with easy access off US 27. The laundry room is clean and inexpensive. The residents are very friendly. The caretakers are very helpful and the campground is well maintained. We have stayed out of season and called ahead. The caretakers were waiting for us and we're very helpful. We used Passport America and they take
only cash or check.
