Lovely place run by lovely people

We stayed at Laguna Vista on our way out of Texas. We've been full-timing since April, and we've stayed in a lot of parks. I find some are best for people who want all the luxuries, some are good for adventuresome types, and some..well. Just aren't good. Laguna Vista, however, is high on our list of good places to stop. It surprised us. We pulled in and thought, "Eh, another gravel RV park." We didn't expect much, and we didn't need much, so it was fine. But soon enough we met William, and saw the pond, and the cows, and the brand new machines in the laundry, and we were won over. Our dog was not thrilled about the cows (moo-dogs), but we put him in the RV when William invited us to come feed said cows. What a lovely afternoon, standing there at the fence, with the charismatic William, handing pellets to cows who were overly excited, rolling their eyes, and fighting for front position.

It was quiet, lovely, and peaceful. No, it didn't have any of that clubhouse stuff, or a pool, or whatever, but it didn't need it. Highly recommend this place unless you're the sort who wants clubhouses, pools, and volleyball courts. If you like simple pleasures, and a relaxing view of a pond is good for you, then definitely come here. And say hi to William for us.

Other residents not friendly - avoid!

Manager was lovely, but as we drove in, we were pointedly told by some residents which direction NY was in and glared at. Which is odd, since our rv is the only thing from NY - my husband is English and I'm from California. Also bathrooms are mind meltingly hot, wifi is spotty, and shade is scarce. I'd avoid this one.
