Lovely setting

We drove our 31' MH through some dicey turns to reach this place but it is very lovely. The manager led us to our site on his golf cart and directed the slightly difficult back in and made sure we got set up. There are lots of trees and rocks and our site ended right on the edge of a creek. Every site has a table and a fire pit. Firewood and staples are available at the office as well as bulk propane. The sites are close but because of the trees and creek you have a sense of privacy. The bathrooms and laundry are some of the best I have seen. Full hook up but cable is very limited. Wifi only available at the office and we have difficulty with reliable cellular service. Very close to Blueridge Parkway and some lovely little towns.

Clean but packed like sardines

Named Big Meadow because it really is just a big meadow sectioned into tiny slots with almost no vegetation. The "river" sites are actually across a public road from the water. We did not have enough room on our site to open our patio rug and our slides covered the picnic table because it was so close to the RV (31') with no room to move out on the tiny space. Two showers and toilets in each bathroom-very clean. A play area for children. Nice little town. Very quiet. But this campground most definitely has no ambiance.
