My family had enjoyed camping at Cascade Peaks before, so I thought I knew what to expect. Well, they've obviously changed management because the way they handled my reservation is quite shabby. I reserved a 1-tent site in July, & I'll be danged because they took the money out of my account right away. I never had an entity take the full amount owed until check-in & thought that was rather shady biz.
On August 12th my family arrived at Cascade Peaks. When I asked about sites near restrooms (because I have IBS), I was informed that I'd have to pay for water & electric sites to be close to a bathroom. I had to pay more for a site for utilities that I couldn't use in a tent! Imagine paying $67.83 for 2 nights in a tent!!! On top of that, the bathrooms were filthy and not stocked properly. In the past, I could pitch a tent just about anywhere and only be charged for tent prices. I was very disappointed with the greedy management, but my family did enjoy the scenery and exploring the Colitz River, but next time we'll find a better, more affordable place to camp. I wish I could give Cascade Peaks less than 1-star, but there it is.... Shame on the supposed management.
